Terms of service
These terms govern CreaseCallHockey game requests, local goalie-roster applications, referral rewards, the payment model, local sponsor placements, the installable app, and related communications across every listed United States market.
How the service works
Goalie recruiting is open in every listed market. New team requests require an active market with payment setup available. Buffalo matching is active. A request never guarantees goalie availability. Team managers provide a payment card and express consent during listing creation, before the request is published.
Goalie request price and payout
It is $40 to request a goalie. For new listings, Square securely saves the manager’s card before publication, without a booking charge or authorization hold. Authorization and collection occur only after the currently assigned goalie scans the manager’s per-skate QR code or enters its six-digit code at the rink. Saving a card does not guarantee payment: a declined or unresolved payment is not a goalie credit. There is no automatic collection or release based on puck-drop time. The standard goalie share is $30; Square’s processing fee comes from CreaseCallHockey’s $10 share. If the first eligible goalie accepts at or within 90 minutes of puck drop, or a replacement offer opens in that window, the goalie receives $40 less Square’s actual processing fee, with no site fee or additional customer charge. Referral discounts are unavailable for those short-notice skates.
Existing bookings that used the earlier post-acceptance checkout retain their disclosed authorization rules. An existing authorization is not a completed charge; payment release still requires verified arrival.
Goalie referral rewards
A goalie referral qualifies only after a new adult goalie completes signup through a personal referral link and verifies the application email address. The referrer and recruited goalie each receive a separate, unique, one-time $5 discount code for one future standard goalie request. One code may be used per request; codes cannot be stacked, exchanged for cash, or transferred to another person. A code does not guarantee goalie availability.
One valid code reduces a standard $40 goalie rental to $35, as shown during secure payment setup. The standard goalie payout target remains $30; the $5 discount reduces only CreaseCallHockey's standard share. A customer referral qualifies only after a first-time customer completes a paid standard goalie rental. Referral codes are not valid on last-minute fee-passthrough skates. Duplicate, self, fictitious, automated, or otherwise abusive referrals may be rejected or reversed.
Cancellations and refunds
A customer may cancel or modify a confirmed booking at no charge through 90 minutes before scheduled puck drop, including the exact 90-minute boundary. If an eligible payment has already been collected, CreaseCallHockey will reverse or refund it to the original payment method. Payment-provider timelines may affect when returned funds appear.
A material change to the date, time, rink, playing level, or game type may release the assigned goalie and restart local matching. Availability is not guaranteed after a change. A late change or cancellation request made after the free-change deadline requires owner review and does not take effect until approved. No new payment can be made while checkout is disabled.
Customer responsibilities
Customers must provide accurate game details, a safe and lawful playing environment, appropriate dressing-room information, and prompt notice of changes. The team or ice organizer remains responsible for rink fees, league eligibility, game supervision, and player conduct.
Goalie responsibilities
Goalie applicants must be 18 or older, provide accurate contact and playing-experience details, have suitable equipment and transportation, and communicate promptly. A completed application is approved automatically after email verification, including when a USA Hockey number is missing. If you are already signed in with a verified email, another verification email is not required. Provide your current USA Hockey confirmation number when available; the owner reviews missing membership information after you join. Email verification, a number’s format and roster approval do not independently prove USA Hockey membership or eligibility at a particular rink or league. Participants must meet their rink and league requirements. CreaseCallHockey may review, decline, suspend or revoke roster access for inaccurate information or a terms violation. Goalies choose which offers to accept; no minimum number of skates is guaranteed.
Claiming an available skate
Where local matching is active, CreaseCallHockey may send approved, eligible goalies in the applicable market an email and, for goalies who separately opted in, an SMS offer. A goalie may use the private claim link or reply IN from the registered, opted-in mobile number. Replying IN to an identified offer requests immediate assignment and records acceptance of the current goalie assignment and release terms stated in the offer. When more than one eligible offer is open for the same goalie, CreaseCallHockey will not guess which skate the goalie intended to claim and may require an offer identifier or the private claim link.
The first eligible claim committed by CreaseCallHockey receives the skate; a conditional database update resolves simultaneous responses. A reply sent after another goalie wins does not create an assignment. Once claimed, recurring offer reminders stop, the eligible local roster is told that the skate was claimed, and the winner separately receives the team or skate name, rink, scheduled time, and locker-room information when available. Team, locker-room, organizer-contact, and private-note details are not included in the roster-wide claimed notice.
Goalie releases and short-notice cover
An assigned goalie may release a skate through the private assignment link before puck drop. A released skate returns to the eligible local roster in a new offer round, and responses to the closed round cannot claim it. A replacement offer opened more than 90 minutes before puck drop uses the standard $30 goalie payout target. A replacement offer opened at or within 90 minutes of puck drop is labeled as a $40 reopened skate; the full $40 skate amount is processed for the replacement goalie with no CreaseCallHockey application fee, and Square deducts its actual processing fee from the replacement goalie's connected seller balance. Replacement availability is not guaranteed.
A goalie release at or within 120 minutes before scheduled puck drop is a late cancellation. After accepting these terms, each goalie receives one lifetime grace for their first late cancellation across CreaseCallHockey rosters, with no $10 request for that cancellation. After that grace is used, CreaseCallHockey may request an optional $10 contribution toward Square processing costs where incurred and CreaseCallHockey operating costs. The amount is a contribution toward those costs, not a statement that Square charges a $10 cancellation fee. Nothing is charged automatically; any payment requires separate authorization. The customer is not charged more for the replacement search.
If you have released a skate, you cannot reclaim it during the final 120 minutes before puck drop. A release made in that window prevents you from reclaiming the same skate even if it is later rescheduled. The one-time grace and payment of an optional contribution do not remove this restriction.
Repeated late cancellations are flagged for owner review and may result in removal from the CreaseCallHockey goalie roster at the owner’s discretion. The owner can review the cancellation history and the status of any optional contribution requests. An unpaid optional contribution does not automatically remove a goalie, and payment does not prevent review of repeated cancellations. Removal under this cancellation policy affects goalie-roster access; the member may still request a goalie as a team manager.
Square seller accounts and payout timing
Each participating goalie connects their own Square seller account through CreaseCallHockey’s secure connection link. We do not ask for Square passwords or bank details. Both the requesting manager and assigned goalie use the mobile app for arrival check-in. The manager’s private QR code or six-digit code opens one hour before puck drop and is valid only for the current assignment and skate time. Share it only when you meet at the rink. Valid check-in confirms arrival and starts payment release; repeated scans cannot create another payment. If processing is delayed, the app shows the current status and retries safely. A release to the goalie’s Square balance is separate from a bank deposit, whose timing follows Square and the goalie’s settings. A canceled, expired or changed assignment cannot use its old code to release payment.
Customer payment methods
When checkout is active, eligible customers may be offered credit or debit card, Apple Pay, Google Pay, or another enabled Square wallet. Availability depends on booking timing, device, browser, account, and payment-provider eligibility. A wallet option is shown only when Square reports it as eligible. PayPal and Venmo are not customer checkout methods and will not be displayed unless a separate approved integration is implemented and tested.
Long-lead bookings
Long-lead bookings may require express customer consent for Square to securely save a tokenized card for that one confirmed booking. Wallet tokens are not saved for later use, so wallet options appear only once the payment authorization window opens. Checkout explains the authorization window, arrival release, free-change deadline, and Square settlement timing before consent. Saving a card requires the customer’s explicit consent in the secure checkout.
Assumption of risk
Ice hockey involves a risk of injury. CreaseCallHockey coordinates introductions and payment records, but does not operate the rink, officiate games, supervise participants, or replace required league, team, rink, or personal insurance.
Local sponsor placements
Paid local placements are labeled “Sponsored.” Campaign scope, dates, creative, pricing, budget caps, and billing are confirmed separately before activation. Cost-per-click campaigns use recorded outbound clicks; flat campaigns use the agreed placement price. Dashboard counts are operational measurements and may be reviewed for obvious errors, automated traffic, or misuse before final billing. CreaseCallHockey may reject or remove advertising that is unlawful, misleading, unsafe, unrelated to the local audience, or damaging to the community.
Installable app
The CreaseCallHockey web app is free to install and may update automatically as the website changes. App Store or Google Play availability, if offered, remains subject to those stores' account, device, and review requirements. Data submitted through the app is handled under the same privacy policy as the website.
Optional goalie text alerts
Adult goalie applicants may separately choose recurring automated transactional SMS alerts from CreaseCallHockey for roster status, local paid-skate offers, claim results, cancellations, reopened skates and assignment or account updates. The SMS checkbox is optional, and consent is not a condition of purchase. An unclaimed skate offer may repeat approximately every 35 minutes until it is claimed, canceled, expires, or reaches puck drop; other message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply IN from the registered, opted-in number to request the identified skate, STOP to unsubscribe at any time, or HELP for help. For additional support, contact support@creasecallhockey.com. STOP, START and HELP commands take priority over offer commands. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. CreaseCallHockey may continue essential email notices after an SMS opt-out, but no later SMS offer will be sent unless valid SMS consent is restored. SMS opt-in data and consent are handled as described in the Privacy Policy and are not shared with third parties.
Suspension and changes
CreaseCallHockey may decline or suspend requests or roster access for unsafe conduct, fraud, repeated cancellations, harassment, failure to pay required charges, or materially inaccurate information. The optional late-cancellation contribution is not a required charge; goalie-roster decisions for repeated late cancellations follow the policy above. Material term changes will be posted with a new effective date.
